[Powers] Josh can manipulate the molecular structure of metal, reshaping it as he sees fit. He can pull metal from any available source through physical contact eg, car hoods and steel beams work but a rebar imbedded in concrete won't unless it was exposed. Josh’s power has been partially defined, at least in assumption by his parents who want him to register and join a corporation and use his abilities for monetary gain.

[Personality] Despite Josh’s treatment by his parents, he remains fairly good-natured about people, only questioning them when they say that they have his best interests at heart. Growing up in Pittsburgh’s ‘Southside’ he developed a very malleable charismatic nature, which caused him to become quite the social chameleon. He works admirably well in school, though mostly in classes that allowed him to sculpt whatever came to mind versus forcing him into preconcieved notions of what art should and should not be.

-Strengths- Joshua is charismatic and makes friends easily, he also tends to think of things in an artistic mind frame, which while eluding logic at times tends to provide a less direct, and less predictable way around a problem. He only has problems with authority figures in the off chance they tell him how to do his art, or continually tell him to do something for the sake of his best interest.

-Weakness- Joshua has the tendency to be as stubborn as the material he works with, without the capabilities of his mutation. Charismatic as he is Josh tends to make sure that the points of a conversation avoid his personal feelings or thoughts, keeping his distance from people in order to protect himself from them.

[History] Joshua was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on the 31st of August to one Amanda and Michael Keats. An only child, who until recently held aspirations to one day join the Maryland Institute College for Art for his sculpting capabilities. His parents were proud of their son’s artistic merit pushed him to continue in his talents, having thought that they could use him to get wealthy on. Michael always was looking for a get rich quick scheme, Josh never minded he got to spend most of his time relaxing with friends, or sculpting.

Around the beginning of second semester of his 8th grade year he went on a tour of the MICA campus, to get a better idea of what a MICA student would have expected from him. Sitting in on one of the metal working sculpture classes he was given a given several hunks of steel and a few tools to see what he could do. Before he thought about his actions his hands flowed over the pieces of metal forming a rough replica, albeit a small one, of the Statue of Liberty. The students of the class along with the teachers and his parents just stared in awe of what they had seen. Amanda quickly gathered Joshua up and pulled him out of the classroom, however the gears were already turning in the head of Michael. The boy was a mutant, and could do strange things with metal, how could Michael turn such abilities to financial gain.

His parents and he never spoke of what had occurred though Michael continued to plot of ways he could use this for his own avarice. When the parents heard of the Mutant Registration Act they quickly began discussing it, between themselves and then with Joshua himself. Amanda and of course Michael had convinced themselves that registering would be within Josh’s best interest. Though Josh was against it he listened to their reasoning, they had always supported him before. Michael on the other hand had heard of several companies that were trying to find a more cost effective way to produce and manipulate the expensive, indestructible metal that was Adamantium. Michael’s plan was to turn the boy over to the company for a fortune his base thought was that if Josh could manipulate steel, adamantium should be no different.

Josh was fortunately lucky that the Registration Act hadn’t passed yet and thusly his parents couldn’t force him to follow through, though they continued pushing the issue. His father had on the other hand contacted the companies unbeknownst to Josh or Amanda. Only one actually responded him back offering him a staggering sum of 2.2 billion dollars, Michael hardly able to believe his luck, until the company official stated that he actually wanted to see the kid manipulate the metal with his own eyes. Adamantium of course is difficult to come by and Michael had none, having asking the official if they could provide that which was to be altered the official was less than agreeable but knowing how rare the material was he grudgingly agreed. Later in the evening Michael discussed with Amanda what he had done, she first was shocked but gave in to his temptations that the wealth could offer, Josh just sat on the steps outside of his bedroom and listened, angry that they’d sell him out like a prize animal.

Freshman year started, the company finally contacted Michael back about a date to meet the boy and verify this supposed level of power he had, and set it for late January 2006. Now that there was an actual date Michael approached Josh to tell him about it. Josh made his feelings full and clear about what he felt his father was doing to him before storming out of the house with nothing but the clothes he was wearing. He headed down to Carson Street and spent the day down on the Southside main drag, hanging out with his friends, they convinced him to go back home at the end of the evening, if for no other purpose than to grab clothing. His father was waiting for him, scowl on his face and a Colt 45 in hand. The simple command to sit was given, and while stubborn he was far from stupid, and knew he couldn’t dodge a bullet so he sat down and waited…

[Additional information] Josh is a good natured, but guarded young man, who’d like nothing more than to hang out with friends most of which don’t know he’s a mutant yet, or sculpt in solitude with music playing in the background. His only known allergy is Penicillin
